Last week we took a long weekend and went up to Boston to explore a new city and visit friends. I got tons of recommendations from friends and co-workers so we were able to pack as much into our quick trip as possible. Our very first stop was Mike’s Pastry for pistachio cannoli, then wandering North End until it was time to meet our friends for an amazing dinner at Lolita.
Friday started with breakfast at The Paramount and a walk around the beautiful public garden. We happened to catch the first day of the Kit and Ace pop up shop in Beacon Hill and were immediately obsessed with the tees. Beacon Hill is the cutest neighborhood to wander – we went back on Saturday to see more of the pretty townhouses. After working up an appetite, we went to lunch at Tatte on the recommendation of the girls at Kit and Ace (the Green & Nutty salad was delectable). For dinner we went to Row 34 and I tried oysters for the first time.
We did the jazz brunch at The Beehive on Saturday before walking along the Charles River (made a note to bring our kayaking gear next trip) and through Beacon Hill one last time. Our last stop was to run up the steps at Harvard Stadium — what a sight to see.
