pop of color

I’m a firm believer in choosing one focal point for a makeup look – eyes or lips. Both can look overwhelming and too done¬†for my taste. A swipe of bright lipstick is the easiest way to incorporate a pop of color in your makeup but lately I’ve been loving a bold eye instead – anything from a wash of eyeshadow all over the lid to a slick of colorful eyeliner on the lower lash line. Below are my five favorite products for getting this look. Charlotte Tilbury’s cream shadows are beautiful, the best way to apply them is in very sheer layers for a wash of color or layered for stronger pigment. Both eyeliners are super pigmented and long wearing. Natasha Denona makes the best eyeshadow in the world, I love one of the single shades buffed all over the lid. A multiple stick like Milk Makeup’s works as eyeshadow too, just blend it out with your fingertips.
