multimasking with the body shop

The Body Shop recently came out with a new batch of face masks designed for multimasking — that is, using different masks on different areas of your face at the same time. The idea is to target exactly what your skin needs. Oily T-zone? Apply a charcoal mask there. Dry cheeks? Brush on a hydrating mask there. As a mask obsessee, I had to try them out. I got three of the new face masks and played around with a few combinations depending on how my skin was feeling.

Chinese Ginseng & Rice is a brightening mask and my favorite of the bunch. It’s a creamy exfoliating mask that targets dullness and uneven skin tone. Admittedly, I leave masks on much longer than instructed but this one never feels tight on the skin. I like using it on my cheeks and/or forehead.

The Himalayan Charcoal mud mask is the purifying, detoxifying one that is good for any trouble areas like nose or chin. It gives you that satisfying, squeaky clean feeling, yet I didn’t find it too harsh.

The British Rose mask smells delectable. It reminded me of the Fresh Rose Mask (an all-time favorite) not only in that it has a gel texture with bits of petal in there, but also in that it’s so soothing and calming. I love using this one on dry skin or as a follow-up to the Himalayan Charcoal mask.
