how to reapply sunscreen without messing up your makeup

By now we’re all diligently applying SPF every morning, right? Right. But that’s only effective for a couple of hours. Dermatologists recommend reapplying sunscreen every two hours which is easy enough if you’re makeup-free on vacation. But let’s say you’re out and about on a sunny weekend or heading to happy hour on a rooftop after a day at the office. Yes, you still need to reapply. Need I remind you that UV rays are the number one cause of premature aging?

This is where one of my favorite face mists comes in to play – Kate Somerville’s UncompliKated. It’s an incredibly fine makeup setting spray with SPF 50 that swiftly solves the problem of how to reapply sunscreen over makeup. The formula dries down quickly and has hyaluronic acid to provide refreshing hydration and silicone powders to create a soft focus effect. There’s no strong scent or greasy feeling left behind or build-up from applying a fresh layer every two hours.

My recommendation? Keep one in your everyday bag and one in your travel bag. No excuses!
