Everyone knows that good makeup starts with good skin. It also starts with good primer. As my first bottle of the Becca First Light Priming Filter is nearly empty, I have to admit I’m hooked. It has my two favorite features: hydration and glow. It’s infused with prickly pear flower, ginger and citrus to hydrate and awaken skin. Playing into the moment that color correcting is having, its lavender hue instantly brightens skin and evens out tone. It really does give skin the prettiest dewy finish – nothing shimmery or highlighting, just a healthy glow. It also sheers out completely so there’s no odd tint and it works for all skin tones.
I started using the primer when it launched this winter so I can definitely attest to the hydrating claim – my dry skin never feels thirsty halfway through the day when I use it. There’s also a very light lemony citrus scent that helps with the “waking up” effect. One pump of the lightweight formula and you have the perfect canvas for a good makeup day.
